Approaches

Beginning with end in mind, KIPS School defines a progressive approach of learning. Teaching methodologies provide developmental care for young leaders. They are encouraged to build up their own unique skills and abilities.

Our routine activities include development of practical life skills, physical exercise and co-ordination, art and craft, mathematics, pre-writing skills, language and “Knowledge of the World”. The unique part of our student progression is development of leadership skills through defined framework.

Incorporating leadership development as a core component of the curriculum teaches students essential skills like communication, decision making, problem-solving, emotional intelligence, and teamwork. Integrated leadership principles into various subjects help students understand real-life applications. The approach promotes self-reflection and self-awareness among student while encouraging them to identify their strengths, weaknesses, & areas for improvement as leaders.

Assessment Mechanism

At KIPS School, the Continuous Assessment System (CAS) is the foundation of student evaluation, ensuring a well-rounded education and fostering a love for lifelong learning. CAS provides regular feedback on both learning and teaching, promoting a formative approach to education that evolves through feedback and student engagement, fostering classroom empathy

KIPS School supports CAS for four core reasons:

  • Accountability in learning,
  • Assessment as a tool to support learning rather than judge,
  • Early identification of special needs,
  • Program evaluation and trend monitoring.

Early Years students are closely monitored and remedied through series of CAS (monthly) and term exams (biannually).To ensure the holistic development of KIPSians, Areas of Learning as well as Areas of Development are evaluated.

For Juniors & Lower secondary students, assessments include class tests, round tests, term exams, & final exams to track students' progress. Tests are followed by discussions to correct mistakes & ensure learning.

The secondary students undergo round tests, terminal exams, & KIPS Revision & Test Session (RnT). This system, designed for continuous improvement, is a hallmark of KIPS School’s approach to academic excellence.
